About India Spelling Bee
The India Spelling Bee 2024-25 is a nationwide competition for students in all schools across India. It features school, regional, and national levels, with both written and online formats available. Registration is open to schools with students from classes one through nine, and there is no registration fee for schools. All participating students receive certificates of participation. The last date to participate is 28th February 2025.
Who Can Participate?
Any school or institute across India can participate, regardless of board, size, or medium of instruction. All students in classes 1-9 are eligible to participate.

School Registration Process:
This form is specifically for schools. Students must register through their schools using the STUDENTS REGISTRATION FORM. Individual Registration
Individual Registration is available ONLY IF your school has not registered for India Spelling Bee 2024-25.
Important Points:
– Students must be enrolled in a recognized school/educational board in India.
– Students of classes 1-9 across India can participate.
– A one-time fee of Rs. 295 applies for students who register individually.
– There is a discount on the fees for students who register through their school.
– The school level contest for individual participants is held in ONLINE FORMAT ONLY.
– Certificates, guidebooks, and tests are provided online only.
– Students who do INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION cannot be shifted to school registration later, and no refunds/adjustments can be made.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How can my child be registered for the ISB?
Schools can register for the India Spelling Bee, and then eligible students at the registered school may participate. Individual Students are also allowed to participate for a fee of Rs 270.
What if there are not 50 eligible students in the school or home school association?
There must be a minimum of 50 eligible students at the school in order for the school to participate, no exceptions. Each group should have a minimum of 10 students.
What are the costs involved?
Students have to pay Rs. 175 for the Guide Book. This is a one-time charge for ISB 2024-25 and there are no other charges for regional or national level contests, should the student qualify. There are no charges for the school.
What materials are included in the fee?
Registered students will receive a ISB Guide Book of the relevant grade (according to the student’s class) in a user-friendly PDF format. All participants will also receive a soft copy of the Certificate of Participation.
How can students prepare for participation in the India Spelling Bee?
Students can refer to the ISB Guide Book to prepare for the contest. It also contains practice exercises and sample papers.
Does my child need a coach to participate in the India Spelling Bee?
Students do not need a coach to participate in the India Spelling Bee. The Guide Book is sufficient.
Is India Spelling Bee held online also?
India Spelling Bee school level contests can be held in both OFFLINE and ONLINE formats. Registered schools can choose the option most suitable for them.
I’m a parent. May I register my son/daughter’s school?
No. Only school authorities may register a school for the India Spelling Bee.
What is an acceptable form of payment for a student to register for the India Spelling Bee?
Payment can be made through the school or directly through the link shared by Team ISB.
