About Tata InnoVerse Makerthon

Tata InnoVerse Makerthon 2024 is a hackathon where participants develop innovative prototypes addressing real-world challenges. It is a digital cum physical event open to full-time engineering students from the following disciplines:

* Mechanical
* Mechatronics
* Design
* Industrial Engineering
* Automobile

Eligibility

* Individual/Team Participation: Students can participate individually or in teams of up to 5 members.
* Team Members: All team members must be from the same institute.
* Team Formation: Once formed, teams cannot be changed.

Registration and Submission Guidelines

Registration: Participants can register online at the Tata InnoVerse website.

Solution Submission:

* Each team can submit only one solution per challenge.
* Once submitted, solutions cannot be changed unless resubmitted entirely.
* Team composition cannot be changed after solution submission.
* Participants must provide valid college photo ID and other identification documents on demand.

Organisers’ Rights:

* The organisers retain the right to make changes to the event format, date, rules, etc. at any time.
* They also have the right to accept or reject any registration or entry.

Selection Criteria

Phase 1 – Online Submission of Solutions:

* Shortlisted teams will be notified via email.
* Judging Criteria:
* Rich technical content: Teams must provide a detailed theoretical solution.
* Simplicity: Solutions should be uncomplicated and easy to implement.
* Ease of Implementation: Solutions should be feasible with minimal time and effort.
* Cost Effectiveness: Solutions should be cost-effective.
* Novelty/Uniqueness: Creativity and uniqueness of the solution are crucial.
* No Appeals: Decisions made by the jurors are final.

Phase 2 – Prototype/Solution Demonstration:

* Judging Criteria:
* Novelty/Uniqueness: How novel/unique the solution is.
* Working Prototype Demonstration: How well the prototype demonstrates the solution.
* Scalability: How scalable is the solution?

Prizes

* Most Innovative Prototype/Solution:
* Winner: Croma voucher up to Rs. 1,00,000
* Runner-up: Croma voucher up to Rs. 50,000
* Jury Special Award: Croma voucher up to Rs. 10,000
* Prize Distribution: Prizes are awarded based on the quality of entries at the discretion of the judges and organizers.
* No Exchange/Substitution: Prizes once awarded cannot be exchanged or substituted.

* Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
* Organizers can send communication regarding the Makerthon or other initiatives.
* Participants must submit original ideas that do not infringe on any copyright or intellectual property.
* Organizers are not responsible for internet connectivity during digital events.
* The organizer reserves the right to alter/amend/modify rules without notice.
* In all matters, the decision of the organizers is final.
