What is the CREST English Olympiad?
The CREST English Olympiad (CEO) is an international online competitive exam for students in Grades KG-10. It’s designed to assess English language proficiency and grammatical knowledge. There are two levels of the exam. For KG and Grade 1, the exam is parent/teacher assisted and lasts 45 minutes. For all other grades the exam lasts 60 minutes. The syllabus aligns with various international boards.

Eligibility Criteria
Level 1:
* Students must be enrolled in Grades KG-10.
* Students may attend schools affiliated with any Indian-recognized education board (CBSE, ICSE, State Board, etc.) or reside outside India.
Level 2:
* Qualification based on achieving a minimum score in Level 1.
How to Participate
School Registration:
Schools registered with CREST Olympiads receive registration forms. If your school isn’t registered, email info@crestolympiads.com.
Individual Registration:
Students whose schools don’t participate can register individually via the registration link above.
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The syllabus covers topics from CBSE, ICSE, and other state board syllabi, including comprehension, sentence formation, jumbled words, and parts of speech. The difficulty level is slightly higher than the standard school syllabus, focusing on advanced understanding.
The exam pattern and marking scheme vary by grade and level. Refer to the CREST website for detailed information on the exam pattern for Levels 1 and 2.
* KG: 30 marks total.
* Grades 1-4: 45 marks total.
* Grades 5-10: 60 marks total.
Marking: No negative marking. 1 mark for correct answers in the English Language section and 2 marks for correct answers in the Achievers Section.

Exam Dates: November, December 2024, and January 2025.
Last Date for Registration: November 2024.
Fees: INR 225 for Indian students. For students residing outside India, fees are country-specific. Check the website for details.
